Job summary

Hamilton Island is seeking an energetic and motivated Resort Activities Attendant to join our Events & Activities team. You'll host activities, engage with guests of all ages and support our activity venues while creating a fun, safe and inclusive environment.

Deliver a diverse program of entertainment, from kids discos to pool parties and trivia nights, and help run sports tournaments and staff events across island locations. Exceptional communication and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence leading activities and speaking in front of groups.
• Friendly, energetic and team‑focused attitude.
• Strong customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Host activities and engage with guests of all ages.

Hamilton Island is seeking an energetic and motivated Resort Activities Attendant to join our Events & Activities team. From kids' discos and pool parties to trivia nights, sports tournaments, staff social activities and community events, you'll help bring the island to life. You'll also support our popular activity venues including Putt & Play, Bowl & Play and H/Arcade.

Your Role

As a Resort Activities Attendant, you'll help deliver a diverse program of activities and entertainment for our guests, employees and island community. You'll host activities, engage with people of all ages and support our resort activity venues while creating a fun, safe and inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to get involved.

Where you'll make an impact

• Deliver engaging activities for guests of all ages
• Host kids' discos, pool parties, trivia nights and holiday celebrations
• Facilitate kids' crafts, beach games, face painting and recreational activities
• Support sports tournaments, games and other island-wide activities
• Help deliver staff wellbeing initiatives, competitions and social events
• Support daily operations at Putt & Play, Bowl & Play and H/Arcade
• Confidently host activities and engage groups of different sizes
• Create a fun, safe and inclusive environment for all participants
• Work independently and collaboratively across different island locations
• Build positive relationships with guests, employees and community members

What we're looking for

You're an outgoing and enthusiastic people person who loves bringing energy to a room and creating memorable experiences. You're confident speaking in front of groups, enjoy working with both children and adults and thrive in a fun, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

To be successful, you'll need:

• Queensland Blue Card or willingness to obtain one (Essential)
• Current Driver Licence (Essential)
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification (Essential)
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) (Essential)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence leading activities and speaking in front of groups
• Friendly, energetic and team-focused attitude
• Flexibility to work across different activities, events and venues
• Qualification in Outdoor Education or Sports Coaching (Desirable)
• Strong customer service experience
