Job summary

Australian Payments Plus is seeking a Resilience Manager to strengthen the organisation's ability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disruption. You will embed resilience across business and technology teams through planning, testing and governance, delivering practical, fit-for-purpose plans and executive insights.

Leading the BCM programme, you will drive improvements, maintain documentation, and promote ownership of resilience outcomes throughout AP+.

Qualifications

• Experienced resilience or business continuity professional with 5+ years in regulated or complex environments.
• Knowledge of ISO 22301 and resilience management platforms such as ServiceNow BCM.
• Ability to coordinate Business Impact Analyses, resilience testing and executive reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage the implementation and continuous improvement of AP+'s Business Continuity Management Framework, aligned to strategy and regulatory expectations.
• Coordinate the Business Impact Analysis lifecycle, resilience planning and critical dependency assessments.
• Support development and maintenance of Continuity, Contingency and Recovery Plans.
• Develop and deliver the BCM testing and exercise programme, including desktop exercises, simulations and validation activities.
• Capture lessons from exercises and incidents and drive remediation and continuous improvement.
• Provide specialist resilience advice to stakeholders, promoting clear ownership of resilience obligations.

The Purpose As our Resilience Manager, you'll help strengthen AP+'s ability to prepare for, respond to and recover from disruption. You'll support the ongoing maturity of our Business Continuity Management capability, helping ensure our critical operations, dependencies and recovery requirements are understood and supported by practical, fit-for-purpose plans. You'll work across business and technology teams to embed resilience into day-to-day operations through Business Impact Analysis, resilience planning, testing and exercising, while supporting clear ownership of resilience outcomes across AP+. You'll provide specialist advice, support governance and assurance activities, and use insights from testing, incidents and lessons learnt to drive continuous improvement. Working across Business Continuity, Incident Management, Disaster Recovery and Crisis Management, you'll help strengthen AP+'s overall preparedness and ability to respond to and recover effectively from disruption.

What you'll be responsible for:

• Manage the implementation and continuous improvement of AP+'s Business Continuity Management Framework, aligned to organisational strategy, regulatory expectations and industry practice.
• Coordinate the Business Impact Analysis lifecycle, resilience planning and critical dependency assessments to strengthen organisational preparedness and decision-making.
• Support the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of Continuity, Contingency and Recovery Plans.
• Develop and deliver the annual BCM testing and exercise programme, including desktop exercises, simulations and validation activities.
• Capture lessons from exercises, incidents and assurance activities, and drive remediation and continuous improvement.
• Provide specialist resilience advice to business, technology and risk stakeholders, promoting clear business ownership of resilience obligations.
• Develop and maintain BCM frameworks, tools, procedures and supporting artefacts.
• Develop resilience metrics, dashboards and executive reporting that provide insight into capability maturity, risks, testing outcomes and improvement opportunities.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence outcomes across business and technology teams.
• Manage BCM governance, assurance evidence and audit responses to demonstrate compliance with internal and external requirements.
• Strengthen the integration of Business Continuity, Incident Management, Disaster Recovery and Crisis Management to support coordinated response and recovery.

You’ll likely be a strong fit for this role if:

• You're an experienced resilience, business continuity or operational risk professional with 5+ years' relevant experience, ideally within a complex or highly regulated environment.
• You'll bring practical experience across Business Continuity Management, operational resilience, crisis management, disaster recovery and/or related assurance activities.
• You'll be comfortable working across business and technology stakeholders, providing trusted specialist advice and influencing stakeholders to take ownership of resilience outcomes.
• You'll have experience coordinating Business Impact Analyses, resilience testing and exercises, developing management reporting, and driving continuous improvement from testing, incidents and assurance activities.
• Knowledge of ISO 22301 and experience with resilience management platforms such as ServiceNow BCM will be valuable.
• Above all, you'll bring a collaborative and pragmatic approach, with the ability to communicate clearly and translate resilience requirements into practical actions.
