Job summary

Life Without Barriers is seeking a Therapeutic Youth Worker to support young people aged 12 to 17 who have experienced trauma, in residential homes across multiple NSW locations.

Roles include rostered shifts (afternoon, sleepover, weekends) and may involve personal care. A Diploma in Community Services or equivalent is preferred, with First Aid and driver's license required. The team focuses on safe, homelike environments and positive development.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Community Services or related field is required or expected.
• Provide First Aid certification is required (HLTAID011).
• Experience supporting children/young people and understanding trauma is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support young people aged 12–17 in a safe, homelike residential setting.
• Assist with daily living activities and personal care if required.
• Foster independent life skills, problem solving, and positive relationships.
• Work across roster patterns including afternoon, sleepover and weekend shifts.
