Job summary

Sydney Health & Care Services is recruiting a Casual Female Residential Support Worker to join our SIL team in Revesby, Sydney region. You will support people with complex needs, following support plans and routines with calm, person-centred care.

This casual role offers flexibility and potential progression to part-time after six months. Key duties include in-home supports, community participation, and incident documentation; a strong emphasis on safety, boundaries and respectful teamwork

Qualifications

• SIL experience or experience with complex needs
• Comfortable with verbal and physical aggression
• Familiar with Absconding behaviours
• Experience with BSPs, ABC reporting, incident management, de-escalation
• Calm, emotionally regulated during escalation
• Strong routine-following, reliability and professionalism
• Excellent boundaries, confidentiality, and documentation
• Confident communication and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home SIL supports (daily living, routines, prompting and personal care)
• Provide community participation supports
• Implement Behaviour Support Plans per NDIS
• Use low-arousal communication and positive behaviour support approaches
• Follow health and medication routines and safety protocols
• Complete progress notes and incident reports
• Support community access when appropriate
• Work within a consistent team with escalation pathways
