Beacon Lighting Commercial is seeking a Residential Lighting Designer to connect with clients and deliver practical lighting plans for volume residential builders across Regional Victoria and Port Melbourne. Based in our commercial office, this 12-month fixed term contract emphasises expert design, customer service and efficient delivery.

The role requires reading plans, selecting product solutions, and delivering professional service while aligning with Beacon’s standards and training

Qualifications

• Experience in lighting design and ability to read house plans.
• Strong customer service and sales focus with a personalised approach.
• Ability to negotiate and contribute to profitability and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand architectural and electrical plans.
• Create lighting design plans reflecting customer needs and concepts.
• Specify products and placements for professional service.
• Apply technical knowledge to recommendations for installations.
• Identify opportunities to grow the consultation service.
• Complete paperwork, manage inquiries, and ensure safety procedures.
