Job summary

Stawell Gold Mines in Stawell, Victoria, is seeking a Laboratory Technician for a residential, full-time role at our underground operation. You will conduct metallurgical test work, prepare samples and perform routine assaying while upholding safety standards and contributing to a cohesive laboratory team.

Applicants should have drivers license in Victoria, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety; forklift and first aid qualifications are desirable additions.

Qualifications

• Experience in a mine laboratory or similar is desirable but not essential.
• Current Victorian Driver’s License is mandatory.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine metallurgical test work.
• Prepare geological and metallurgical samples.
• Perform routine assaying tasks.
• Participate in site safety systems.
• Support broader laboratory operations as needed.
• Maintain health, safety and environmental standards.
