Phoenix Lifestyle Support Association Inc. is seeking an accommodation support worker in Redland Bay, QLD. The role requires sleep-over shifts from 4:30pm to 8:30am and weekend rosters on a rolling basis to cover both days and nights.

The successful candidate will support participants to live independently, assist with activities of daily living, complex needs, and participants with positive behaviour support plans, while engaging families where needed.

Formación

• Passionate about working with people with disabilities.
• Person-centered, reliable and have excellent communication skills.
• Confident with close personal care.
• Confident with assisting with medication.
• Confident with managing mealtime preparation and modified diets.
• Demonstrated time management skills.
• Demonstrated competency with documentation and reporting.
• Ability to work within a multicultural workforce.
• Cert III in Disability or relevant qualification and/or experience or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid certificate and CPR.
• Open Drivers licence with own vehicle.
• Current disability worker screening clearance card.
• Australian or NZ citizenship or the capacity to permanently work in Australia.

Responsabilidades

• Support participants to live as independently as possible by assisting with activities of daily living
• Provide direct support to participants with complex and high-intensity needs
• Work with participants with positive behaviour support plans
• Engage with participants to develop skills within their own homes
• Work closely with families in some instances
