Director, Construction is seeking a Construction Director / Licensed Builder to lead the delivery of residential projects across NSW, focusing on medium-density and volume developments including detached homes, duplexes, and townhouses.

This senior leadership role combines hands-on delivery with strong commercial acumen, risk management, and team leadership to scale a vertically integrated development and construction business.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of residential construction experience with hands-on site exposure.
• Current NSW Class 1 Builder Licence (mandatory).
• Class 2 Builder Licence highly regarded.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Civil Engineering, Building, or related discipline (mandatory).
• Proven experience delivering residential volume builds, townhouse developments, subdivisions, or multi-unit projects.
• Strong understanding of residential construction methodologies, sequencing, and site operations.
• Experience managing multiple projects, teams, and subcontractors simultaneously.
• Strong commercial understanding including budgeting, procurement, cost control, and programme management.
• Proficiency in construction and project management software platforms.

Responsabilités

• Lead and oversee all phases of residential construction projects from planning and procurement through to completion and handover.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects including detached housing, duplexes, and townhouse developments.
• Drive programme delivery while maintaining control over quality, cost, safety, and construction methodology.
• Ensure projects are delivered efficiently, within budgets and timelines.
• Lead, coordinate, and mentor site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.
• Develop internal systems, construction processes, and operational standards as the business scales.
• Prepare, review, and manage construction budgets, procurement strategies, and cost control processes.
• Identify risks and mitigate them across projects.
• Develop detailed programmes and sequencing strategies.
