NSW Department of Communities and Justice is seeking Residential Centre Assistants for the Miruma Diversionary Program at Cessnock Correctional Centre. This ongoing full-time role and casual positions support residents as they work toward successful reintegration into the community.

You will supervise residents, maintain records, mentor living skills, and assist with transport to external venues. A current NSW driver’s license and a satisfactory Criminal Record Check are required.

Competenze

• First Aid certificate; willingness to obtain within the first three months.
• Current driver’s license and preparedness to drive a vehicle.
• Criminal Records Check is required; capability assessments may apply.

Mansioni

• Support individual case plans and maintain residents’ records.
• Mentor residents to develop living skills for independent community living.
• Transport residents to and from external venues.
• Resolve critical situations relating to health and wellbeing of residents.
