Job summary

Development Careers Pty Ltd in Brisbane seeks an experienced Residential Building Manager to lead our construction operations across multiple sites. You will manage a team including Building Supervisors, a Maintenance Supervisor and Building Coordinators to deliver high-volume housing projects.

You will oversee ~300 homes annually, drive programmes, ensure quality, budgets and timeframes, enforce QBCC compliance and WHS standards, and partner with Operations Managers to improve efficiency and

Qualifications

• A current, appropriate QBCC licence.
• Extensive experience in residential construction.
• Proven experience managing a team of Building Supervisors.
• Strong technical construction knowledge and understanding of the Queensland residential building industry.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across a high-volume construction programme.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the construction team to achieve programme, quality and delivery targets.
• Oversee construction of approximately 300 homes annually.
• Manage construction programmes, workflow and resources across multiple sites.
• Work with Operations Managers to improve efficiencies, processes and construction performance.
• Ensure homes are delivered to required quality standards, budgets and timeframes.
• Support supervisors with construction challenges, subcontractor performance and site issues.
• Oversee maintenance and defect rectification processes.
• Maintain compliance with QBCC requirements, building regulations and WHS standards.
