Job summary

Adelaide Development Corporation (ADC) is a design-led property developer delivering premium homes, residential communities and commercial developments across South Australia. Our in-house design studio works closely with the broader development, construction and marketing teams to create high-quality projects from concept through delivery.

We are expanding our design team and seek an Architectural Designer / Graduate of Architecture with 3–5 years of industry experience to join our Adelaide

Qualifications

• Approximately 3–5 years' experience within residential architecture, building design or a related environment.
• Tertiary qualification in Architecture, Architectural Design or a related discipline.
• Strong residential design capability with an understanding of proportion, planning, materiality and contemporary housing design.
• Experience developing projects from concept design through planning and documentation stages.
• Good understanding of construction documentation, detailing and residential buildability, with a desire to continue developing these skills.
• Strong 3D modelling and visual communication skills.
• Experience with ArchiCAD highly regarded; applicants with strong experience in comparable BIM/design software and a willingness to learn ArchiCAD are also encouraged to apply.
• Working knowledge of the NCC, Australian Standards and South Australian planning and building approval processes.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with consultants including structural, civil, energy, landscape and other project disciplines.
• Strong attention to detail and an ability to manage competing project priorities.
• Confident communicator who enjoys working collaboratively as part of a small design team and broader development business.
• Australian residential experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development and documentation of a diverse pipeline of residential projects.
• Work closely with the Design Manager and senior team members to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Involve in concept design, 3D modelling and visualisation, and planning/documentation stages.
• Prepare construction documentation and coordinate with consultants.
• Assist projects through approvals and delivery, broadening technical and documentation capability.
• Collaborate across the in-house design studio and broader development team.
