Job summary

Yorke and Northern Local Health Network in Booleroo Centre District Hospital & Health Services is seeking a Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator to support residents’ quality of life through planned activities and programs.

You will develop social, recreational and individual activities for residents with varying abilities, while providing social inclusion, stimulation, and emotional support within a holistic care team.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and implementing recreational or social programs.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
• Good time management and prioritisation.
• Experience working in aged care, health care and/or a rural setting.
• Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and evaluate activities to support residents’ quality of life and wellbeing.
• Develop social, recreational and individual activities for residents with varying abilities.
• Provide opportunities for social inclusion, stimulation and emotional support.
• Contribute to care planning and continuous improvement in line with residents’ goals.
