Job summary

Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) in Goulburn seeks a Part Time Lifestyle Coordinator to design and deliver vibrant leisure activities that support residents’ social, emotional, physical, cultural and spiritual needs. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to promote choice, connection and personal fulfilment.

Join a not-for-profit aged care provider with a strong emphasis on training, development and genuine career progression through Buddy and Elevate programs.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in leisure and lifestyle service provision.
• Ability to undertake leisure-based assessments and care planning with individual residents.
• Practical knowledge of Aged Care Standards and the Accreditation process.
• Understanding of relevant laws, acts, regulations and codes of practice.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate a resident-driven leisure program that enhances wellbeing.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to offer leisure and recreation activities.
• Lead and support Leisure and Lifestyle staff to deliver high-quality person-centered service.
• Monitor and evaluate programs and suggest improvements.
• Assist the Leisure and Lifestyle Department in meeting accreditation requirements.
