Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or equivalent required.
• Experience supervising and delivering a social care program.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current First Aid Certificate and police check are required.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and review engaging social, recreational and therapeutic activities.
• Lead and support Social Care Assistants and volunteers.
• Develop relationships with local community groups and partners.
• Facilitate resident meetings and empower resident voice in planning.
• Maintain a vibrant volunteer program and community engagement.
• Keep accurate records, registers and social care documentation.
• Manage social care resources within the approved budget.
• Contribute to meetings and strategic social care planning.
• Support compliance with policies, legislation and standards.
• Participate in professional development and quality improvement activities.
• Promote a safe, respectful environment for residents and staff.
