Job summary

Aveo Springfield Vista Retirement Living is seeking a Chef to deliver high-quality meals with an à la carte influence, balancing taste, nutrition and presentation. This permanent part-time role runs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30am to 6:00pm, within a welcoming retirement community.

You should have experience in quality hospitality and hold a Certificate in Commercial Cookery; a Food Safety certification is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef in restaurant, hotel, healthcare or quality hospitality environment.
• Confident working independently while also a strong team player.
• Strong communication skills and genuine interest in connecting with residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present fresh, high-quality meals with an à la carte influence or per menu plans across lunch and dinner.
• Support day-to-day kitchen operations including ordering, stock rotation and food prep.
• Maintain cleanliness, food safety and compliance to standards.
