Job summary

Aveo's Lindfield Gardens Retirement Living in East Lindfield, NSW seeks a Chef to deliver à la carte–inspired dining for residents. You’ll prepare fresh, well-presented meals balancing flavour, nutrition and consistency for lunch and dinner, while supporting kitchen operations.

This permanent part-time role is Saturdays and Sundays (9:30am–5:30pm). You’ll build meaningful connections with residents, ensure food safety, and contribute to menu development.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef in a restaurant, hotel, healthcare or quality hospitality environment
• Confident working independently and as a strong team player
• Excellent communication with residents
• Passion for retirement living and making a positive impact
• Certificate in Commercial Cookery (required) and Food Safety certification (desirable)
• Two COVID-19 vaccinations required

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present fresh, high-quality meals with an à la carte influence
• Support day-to-day kitchen operations, including ordering and stock rotation
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and compliance
• Contribute ideas for functions and upcoming menu changes
• Work with wider team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Build connections with residents and foster community
