Job summary

Aveo's Lindfield Gardens Retirement Living in East Lindfield, NSW seeks a Chef to deliver à la carte–inspired dining for residents. You’ll prepare fresh, well-presented meals balancing flavour, nutrition and consistency for lunch and dinner, while supporting kitchen operations.

This permanent part-time role is Saturdays and Sundays (9:30am–5:30pm). You’ll build meaningful connections with residents, ensure food safety, and contribute to menu development.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef in a restaurant, hotel, healthcare or quality hospitality environment
• Confident working independently and as a strong team player
• Excellent communication with residents
• Passion for retirement living and making a positive impact
• Certificate in Commercial Cookery (required) and Food Safety certification (desirable)
• Two COVID-19 vaccinations required

• Support day-to-day kitchen operations, including ordering and stock rotation

Lindfield Gardens Retirement Living is a welcoming retirement community nestled amongst serene bushland in East Lindfield, overlooking the sparkling upper reaches of Middle Harbour. Just 16km from Sydney's CBD, the community offers residents an exceptional lifestyle with easy access to local amenities, natural surrounds, and a variety of social, wellness, and recreational activities. As a Chef, you’ll deliver a high-quality dining experience that enhances the everyday lives of our residents. Bringing an à la carte-inspired approach, you’ll prepare fresh, well-presented meals that balance flavour, nutrition, and consistency. This is a great opportunity to showcase your skills, build meaningful connections, and enjoy more balance than traditional hospitality settings.

Your Impact

What you’ll bring

• Experience as a Chef in a restaurant, hotel, healthcare or quality hospitality environment
• Confidence working independently, while also being a strong team player
• Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in connecting with residents
• Enthusiasm for working in retirement living and making a positive impact
• Certificate in Commercial Cookery (required) and Food Safety certification (desirable)
• Minimum of two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)

What we offer

• Saturday Rate: $52.53/hr + superannuation+ relevant award entitlements including penalty rates,overtimeand allowances
• Sunday Rate: $61.29/hr + superannuation+ relevant award entitlements including penalty rates,overtimeand allowances
