Aveo is seeking a Chef Manager for Bayview Gardens Retirement Living in Sydney’s Northern Beaches. This permanent full-time role is Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, leading daily kitchen operations, menu input and resident dining experiences.

You will oversee food preparation, ordering, rostering and compliance, while mentoring the kitchen team and building relationships with residents to tailor meals to preferences and dietary needs.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef in a quality hospitality environment.
• Experience with stock ordering, rostering and kitchen administration.
• Hands-on leadership while coordinating daily operations.
• Strong communication and resident engagement.
• Desire to work in retirement living.
• Certificate in Commercial Cookery (required).
• Food Safety Certification desirable.

Responsabilités

• Deliver hands-on preparation of high-quality meals while maintaining strong daily kitchen operations.
• Oversee ordering, stock control, food safety compliance, and general kitchen administration.
• Coordinate rostering and support recruitment and onboarding of kitchen team members.
• Contribute to menu planning, incorporating resident feedback and adapting offerings to meet preferences and dietary needs.
• Plan and deliver catering for community functions and special events.
• Build strong relationships with residents, actively responding to feedback to enhance the dining experience and fostering a sense of community.
