Komatsu Australia is seeking a Resident Field Service Technician to support customers across the Canberra region. You will be the go-to expert, keeping Komatsu machines up and running with on-site breakdowns, servicing, and diagnostics.

You’ll work with one of the world’s leading equipment manufacturers, in a role that emphasizes safety, customer service, and detailed documentation. Canberra-based, day shift with some OT is expected.

Qualifications

• Mobile Plant Mechanic Trade Certificate and HD Mechanic/Fitter qualifications are required.
• OEM experience and field service exposure, including breakdowns and diagnostics, are highly regarded.
• A valid driver’s licence is essential.
• Auto electrical experience and diagnostic skills are desirable.
• Working at heights qualification is beneficial but not essential.
• A safety-focused mindset is paramount.
• Good understanding of computer systems and Microsoft Office is expected.
• Ability to follow the defined job scope and critical path, and work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing, servicing and repairing Komatsu equipment.
• Responding to breakdowns and performing planned maintenance.
• Using diagnostics to identify mechanical and electrical faults.
• Building strong customer relationships through exceptional service.
• Completing service reports and documentation.
• Maintaining safety and delivering quality workmanship on every job.
