Job summary

Respect Masters Lodge in Hervey Bay is seeking a Social Care Coordinator to lead and continuously improve the social care program for residents. You will collaborate with the General Manager and team to ensure activities meet residents' needs and preferences.

You will foster a vibrant, inclusive social environment, engage with local community partners, and support staff to deliver meaningful, person-centred experiences that enhance quality of life for older people.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or equivalent.
• Experience supervising and delivering a social care program.
• Empathetic, resident-focused approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong relationship-building and organisational skills.
• Practical, solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
• Proficient computer and information management skills.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Current National Police Certificate or ability to obtain one.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and review engaging social, recreational and therapeutic activities.
• Lead and support Social Care Assistants and volunteers.
• Develop relationships with local community groups and partners.
• Facilitate resident meetings and encourage resident input.
• Develop and maintain a vibrant volunteer program.
• Maintain records, registers, attendance and social care documentation.
• Manage resources, inventory and expenditure within budget.
• Contribute to facility management meetings and planning.
• Support compliance with policies, legislation and standards.
• Participate in training and quality improvement activities.
• Promote a safe, respectful and inclusive environment.
