Job summary

Join EVT Limited at Rydges Esplanade Cairns as a part-time Reservations agent. You will manage reservations across phone, email and online channels, process changes, handle guest requests, and upsell where appropriate to support front desk operations.

The role requires hospitality experience, excellent communication, professional presentation and the ability to work well in a team. Weekend and public holiday availability is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in reservations, reception, or a customer-facing hospitality role
• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• High standard of personal presentation and professionalism
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-focused environment
• Experience with Opera Cloud or similar property management systems (highly regarded)
• Availability to work a part-time roster, including weekends and public holidays

Responsibilities

• Manage all incoming reservations via phone, email, and online channels
• Process bookings, cancellations, and amendments accurately and efficiently
• Communicate guest special requests
• Assist in resolving guest enquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of room types, rates, and promotions, identifying upselling opportunities
• Support Reservations and Front Desk operations as required
