Job summary

Westpac Group is seeking a Software Engineering Specialist .NET in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast. The role focuses on delivering BizEdge, Westpac's next-generation Business Lending origination platform, by modernising legacy systems and enabling integration across multiple applications.

You will work on designing, developing and supporting critical lending systems, collaborating with engineers and architects in a hybrid setup with some time in the office and some at home.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with legacy enterprise applications.
• Hands-on development with ASP.NET, C# and Web API.
• Strong SQL and database development skills.
• Experience designing and securing APIs (authentication and security).
• Ability to troubleshoot across complex, interconnected systems.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, development and support of BizEdge integration components.
• Enhance, integrate and modernise critical lending systems within a complex legacy environment.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and delivery teams to deliver solutions for Westpac's Business Lending landscape.

What’s the role?

Join the team delivering BizEdge , Westpac's next-generation Business Lending origination platform. BizEdge is transforming the way business lending is delivered, consolidating multiple legacy systems into a single platform for bankers, brokers and customers.

As a Software Engineering Specialist, you will work within a highly complex legacy application environment, enhancing, integrating and modernising critical lending systems. You'll play a key role in the BizEdge Integration Project, enabling seamless connectivity between BizEdge and Target Lending Applications (TLA) to automate lending workflows and improve customer and employee experiences.

Working alongside experienced engineers, architects and delivery teams, you'll contribute to the design, development and support of solutions that are critical to Westpac's Business Lending technology landscape.

This is a permanent opportunity based in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast , with a hybrid working model that combines time in the office with flexibility to work from home.
