Yes Drive Car Rentals is seeking a Rental Sales Agent to join our team in Mascot NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in driving revenue and customer satisfaction for our car rental operations. As a Rental Sales Agent, you will be at the forefront of our business, engaging with customers to understand their rental needs and offering tailored vehicle solutions. This role is essential to our success, as you will be responsible for converting inquiries into bookings whilst delivering exceptional customer service that builds brand loyalty and drives repeat business.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting customers and conducting needs assessments to understand their rental requirements and budget constraints
• Presenting vehicle options that match customer needs, highlighting features, benefits and pricing structures
• Processing rental agreements, collecting necessary documentation and completing booking procedures efficiently and accurately
• Upselling rental add-ons such as insurance upgrades, GPS navigation systems and additional driver options to maximise revenue opportunities
• Addressing customer questions and concerns about rental terms, vehicle specifications and company policies in a professional and knowledgeable manner
• Managing both walk-in customers and telephone inquiries with equal professionalism and enthusiasm
• Maintaining accurate records of bookings, customer information and transaction details in our booking system
• Meeting individual and team sales targets whilst maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
• Collaborating with the branch team to ensure smooth vehicle handovers and returns
• Identifying opportunities to increase market share and suggest improvements to sales processes

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a sales role, preferably within the automotive, rental, hospitality or customer service industries
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and close deals effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with diverse customers
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail when processing transactions and documentation
• Proficiency with computer systems and booking software, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
• Knowledge of vehicle types, features and rental industry practices is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided
• Flexible approach to working hours, including availability for shift work if required
• Professional appearance and demeanour that reflects the Yes Drive brand
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle customer concerns diplomatically
