Job summary

Downer’s Energy & Utilities is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of Telco and New Energy projects from Milton, Brisbane, with regular travel across South East Queensland. You will oversee planning, risk and cost management, plus mentoring a PM team to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget outcomes and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a PM qualification and potentially an engineering/business degree, plus experience with solar infrastructure and BESS tech.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Electrical or Business Management desirable or qualified Electrician.
• Project Management Qualification.
• Experience with Solar infrastructure construction, BESS technology and feeding back into the grid.
• Ability to deliver projects while facilities are operational.
• Experience in preparation of contract financial summaries, commercial reporting and monthly reports.
• Extensive experience in managing and developing a high performing team.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project planning, delivery, reporting, risk management and close-out.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing PM team for successful outcomes.
• Drive Zero Harm safety culture across all project activities.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to team members.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support project delivery and business growth.
• Ensure activities comply with Downer Code of Conduct, PM frameworks and governance.
