Sirius People is seeking a seasoned Grid Connection Engineer for a hybrid Melbourne role with a leading renewable energy owner-operator. You will own grid connection strategies, run power system modelling reviews, and ensure technical compliance for large-scale wind, solar, and BESS projects across the NEM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical / Power Systems) or equivalent.
• CPEng / NER registration (or progress towards) is highly regarded.
• 2 to 5+ years of dedicated power systems engineering experience, ideally in consultancy, network operator, or IPP.

Responsabilités

• Oversee steady-state and dynamic power system studies using PSCAD/EMTDC and PSS/E, managing asset compliance testing and remediation.
• Drive generator connection applications under the NER processes, including GPS framing, assessment, and negotiation.
• Provide strategic technical input into project selection, grid capacity identification, system strength assessment, and risk mitigation.
• Lead GPS tracking, AEMO registration requirements across assets, and ensure lifecycle compliance.
• Manage interfaces with AEMO, NSPs, external consultancies, project developers, and OEMs.
