Job summary

Fuse Energy seeks an Infrastructure Development Lead to own end-to-end Renewable Energy and Data Centre development in Australia, from market entry through Ready-to-Build and energisation. You will assess markets, lead negotiations, and build networks with landholders, utilities and investors.

Responsibilities include securing land, structuring PPAs, coordinating planning and approvals, and managing risk across multiple projects, including data centres and various energy assets available in

Qualifications

• Experience delivering data centre or large-scale infrastructure projects from early development through readiness
• Deep knowledge of Australian regions, grid capacity and planning dynamics
• Understanding of development financing, project finance structures and investor requirements
• Commercial/transactional experience including negotiating acquisition terms and PPAs
• Strong interpersonal skills across landholders, councils, investors and lenders
• Highly analytical, self-directed, with ability to run multiple projects
• Willingness to travel across Australia, including regional/remote sites

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end Renewable Energy and Data Centre development in Australia from market entry to energisation
• Assess markets across Australia based on power, grid timelines, land, fibre, climate and incentives
• Identify and assess opportunities across data centres, wind, BESS, rooftop, ground-mounted and hybrid solar
• Lead negotiations (NDAs, LOIs, exclusivity, terms) to secure late-stage/Ready-to-Build projects
• Build a local network of landholders, IPPs, utilities, advisors, councils and agencies
• Structure PPAs with commercial/industrial clients and respond to tenders including government programs
• Secure land and lease agreements; support development financing and investor relations
• Lead planning, environmental assessments, compliance, stakeholder engagement, and approvals
• Run due diligence to support investment decisions and maintain a live development pipeline
• Manage pre-construction activities, procurement tenders, and EPC negotiation support
• Mitigate technical, commercial, and development risks; ensure deliverability and scalability
