Job summary

Fuse Energy is building a fully integrated energy company across data centres, renewables, and grid tech in Australia. We seek an Infrastructure Development Lead to own opportunities from market entry through Ready-to-Build and energisation, coordinating across data centres, BESS, wind, rooftop, carport and ground-mounted solar.

You will evaluate markets, manage stakeholders, structure PPAs, and secure land and financing while navigating regulatory and community processes to deliver scalable

Qualifications

• Experience developing data centres or large-scale infrastructure projects in Australia.
• Deep knowledge of Australian regions, grid capacity and planning dynamics.
• Commercial and transactional experience, including negotiating acquisition terms and PPAs.

Responsibilities

• Own Renewable Energy and Data Centre development in Australia end-to-end, from market entry to energisation.
• Evaluate markets across Australia and justify opportunities based on grid timelines, land, fibre, and incentives.
• Identify and assess opportunities (data centres, wind, BESS, rooftop, carport, ground-mounted, floating, hybrid solar) from multiple perspectives.
• Source and secure late-stage and Ready-to-Build projects through proactive market engagement and lead negotiations.
• Build a local network of landholders, developers, utilities, government agencies, and industrial clients.
• Structure PPAs and respond to tenders, including government and Renewable Energy Zone processes.
• Secure land and lease agreements, and support development financing with investors and lenders.
• Lead planning, approvals, environmental assessments, and stakeholder engagement to secure timely approvals.
• Run due diligence with internal teams and maintain a live pipeline aligned with growth strategy.
• Manage pre-construction, procurement tenders and EPC contract negotiation support.
• Mitigate technical, commercial, and development risks and ensure deliverable projects.
