Octopus Australia is seeking a commercially minded solicitor with 3+ years’ PQE to support our growing legal team across renewable energy projects, commercial transactions, and day-to-day legal operations.

You will join a dynamic team responsible for providing legal advice throughout the lifecycle of renewables, with drafting and reviewing NDAs and consultancy agreements, under the guidance of the Legal Director and Senior Counsels.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ post-qualification experience in energy or infrastructure projects.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• A commercial mindset balancing risk with business objectives.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Provide legal, commercial, transactional and regulatory advice across the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects.
• Draft and review NDAs, consultancy agreements, and other day‑to‑day legal documents.
• Support the Legal Director and Senior Counsels; work with external counsel as needed.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in development, construction, operations and project finance.
