Remuneration & Benefits Manager

The decisions you make will shape how thousands of people are valued. Behind every great employee experience is a remuneration strategy that gets the fundamentals right.

At Uniting, we're looking for a Remuneration & Benefits Manager to lead the way we think about pay, benefits, market competitiveness, fairness, and workforce reward across one of Australia's largest not-for-profit organisations. This is an opportunity to influence decisions that affect thousands of employees while helping us attract, retain and recognise the people who make our purpose possible.

You'll be the subject matter expert leaders turn to for guidance on complex remuneration decisions. You'll combine commercial thinking, market insights and data-driven recommendations to help shape workforce outcomes, organisational performance and employee experience.

This isn't a role where you'll simply maintain frameworks.

It's a role where you'll challenge them, improve them, and help define what's next.

What you'll be responsible for

You'll lead the evolution of remuneration and benefits across Uniting, partnering closely with senior leaders and People & Culture teams to ensure our approach is competitive, equitable, sustainable and aligned to our organisational strategy.

  • Drive remuneration and benefits strategy across the organisation.
  • Lead annual remuneration reviews and other key reward initiatives.
  • Provide trusted advice to senior leaders and executives on complex remuneration matters.
  • Use benchmarking, workforce insights and market intelligence to inform decision‑making.
  • Champion fair and equitable remuneration practices.
  • Lead job evaluation activities and remuneration governance processes.
  • Oversee benefits programs that strengthen our employee value proposition.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, improve and modernise remuneration practices.
What makes you a great fit

You've built a career in remuneration and benefits and know how to navigate complexity with confidence.

You're commercially minded, highly analytical and comfortable influencing senior stakeholders. You can move seamlessly between spreadsheets, strategy discussions and executive conversations, translating complex data into practical recommendations that drive action.

  • Significant experience in remuneration and benefits leadership.
  • Expertise in remuneration frameworks, benchmarking and job evaluation methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of remuneration legislation, superannuation and benefits practices.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Advanced analytical capability and a data-driven mindset.
  • The confidence to guide executives through complex remuneration decisions.
Why Uniting?

Because this role offers something bigger than remuneration. It offers the opportunity to influence how a purpose‑driven organisation values its people.

You'll join a team that believes great workplaces are built through fairness, transparency and continuous improvement. In return, we'll offer flexibility, salary packaging, opportunities for growth and the chance to make an impact at scale. Every improvement you make will help strengthen the experience of the people who deliver essential services to communities across NSW and the ACT.

Ready to make an impact?

If you're a strategic remuneration professional who enjoys solving complex challenges and influencing organisational outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.
