Job summary

Exact Contracting Pty Ltd is seeking a Workshop Supervisor to lead maintenance activities on remote civil and mining projects in the Northern Territory. The role is site-based, reporting to the Maintenance Manager and Project Manager, with responsibility for safe, cost-effective maintenance.

You will oversee supervisory crews, manage resources, and participate in hands-on servicing and fault diagnosis of Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi mobile equipment, and heavy trucks as needed.

Qualifications

• Heavy Diesel Fitter trade qualification.
• Current drivers licence.
• Experience in supervisory/management role.
• Experience maintaining Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi mobile equipment; Kenworth and Mack trucks.
• Civil/mining industry experience and understanding of mobile plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front and drive safety culture and project vision.
• Effectively manage resources to meet maintenance schedules.
• Drive operational efficiencies across sites.
• Provide on-ground leadership, direction, and feedback to crews.
• Conduct periodic performance appraisals and support development plans.
• Resolve problems and conflicts within the crew.
• Occasionally perform servicing and fault finding on mobile plant to prevent downtime.
