Job summary

Exact Contracting Pty Ltd in remote Northern Territory is seeking a workshop supervisor to join our civil construction and mining projects. The role is site-based, reporting to the Maintenance Manager and Project Manager, and focuses on supervising safe, cost-effective maintenance activities to maximise plant availability.

You will lead crews, manage resources, plan maintenance schedules, and drive efficiencies while also performing hands-on servicing and fault finding on Caterpillar, Komatsu,

Qualifications

• Role requires Heavy Diesel Fitter trade qualification and current driver’s license.
• Experience in supervisory/management role within civil/mining.
• Experience maintaining Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi mobile equipment; Kenworth/Mack trucks.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front to drive safety and culture.
• Manage resources to achieve maintenance schedules.
• Drive operational efficiencies and effective supervision on-ground.
• Provide direction, guidance and feedback to teams and individuals.
• Perform hands-on servicing and fault finding to prevent breakdowns.
• Conduct periodic performance appraisals and development plans.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors as required.
