Job summary

Outback Stores Pty Ltd is seeking a passionate Training Officer to join our People & Culture team, based at the Darwin Support Office. In this hands-on role, you will deliver and assess accredited retail training programs to help local store staff develop skills, confidence and career opportunities.

You will work with trainees, Store Managers and the Training team, providing both face-to-face and virtual training and support, with regular travel to remote communities up to a week at a time.

Qualifications

• TAE40122 and SIR40316 are essential certifications for the role.
• Strong training, assessment, mentoring and coaching skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication required.
• Interpersonal skills and cultural intelligence important for Indigenous communities.
• Willingness to travel to remote communities up to a week at a time.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess accredited retail training programs in remote Aboriginal communities.
• Provide engaging face-to-face and virtual training and support.
• Monitor trainee progress and provide regular feedback.
• LLN assessments and learning support as needed.
• Coordinate training visits and plan with Store Managers.
• Support training compliance and data reporting using VETtrak.
