Job summary

Assignar is seeking a Solutions Engineer to partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Implementation to design, prove, and deliver Assignar Pay for contractors. You’ll manage discovery through post-sale expansion, coordinating with a payroll team on site and during CFO-focused demos.

You’ll join a senior SE group with high standards, including SOR builds, Pay parallel-run methods, and ERP integration playbooks. You’ll learn from mentors and tackle complex Pay builds early in ramp-up.

Qualifications

• Proven Solutions Engineer or similar with experience in construction, ERP, payroll, or finance software.
• Strong understanding of construction finance, including pay terms, invoicing, and job costing.
• Credible with CFOs and payroll leaders; comfortable conducting finance-led conversations.
• Experience running in-person discovery and design workshops with technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Discovery + scoping: run Pay discovery with CFO, GM, owner, payroll and IT stakeholders; scope Schedule of Rates, invoicing structure, cost-code hierarchy, pay-rule + EBA interpretation, security-review response.
• Pay builds: deliver end-to-end config, testing, dry runs, first payrun; lead ERP reshape conversations with the customer’s finance team.
• Project leadership: lead Pay implementation kickoffs, share plans with customer and team, guide the Implementation team and keep commitments on track.
• Customer time in the field: travel 25-40% to visit customers, run onsite workshops, present to leadership; deliver Pay training.
• Business cases + expansion: build ROI cases from discovery data; audit accounts for expansion opportunities; handover with architecture + config pack.
• AI orchestration: use AI tools to accelerate work; verify outputs before presenting to customers; contribute prompts and skills to team library.
