Xero is seeking a Site Reliability Engineering expert to elevate reliability as a core discipline across its global platform. You will own platform health, build automated tooling, and champion chaos engineering to uncover and resolve systemic failures that affect millions of small businesses.

You will collaborate with product teams and infrastructure squads, embedding reliability patterns and proactive incident practices.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and strengthening distributed systems.
• Practical experience managing containerised workloads in Kubernetes and AWS.
• Coding proficiency in Golang, Python, or C#.
• Proactive identification of operational friction and proposing sustainable technical solutions.

Responsabilités

• Own platform health by building automated tooling and resilience improvements.
• Lead incident management rituals and post‑incident analyses to drive permanent fixes.
• Develop reliability‑by‑default capabilities and chaos engineering scenarios.
• Collaborate with product and infrastructure squads to embed reliability into design and execution.
