Job summary

Ground Stabilisation Systems is seeking a Site Labourer for on-site civil construction tasks in Beresfield, NSW. The role is initially casual with a view to full-time after a probationary period, requiring a strong work ethic and readiness to work away from home when needed.

The successful candidate will perform daily laboring duties, steel fixing, formwork, grouting and ancillary tasks, with forklift loading/unloading and equipment maintenance responsibilities.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year in a similar civil construction role (desirable).
• Current White Card and a valid driver’s license.
• Willing to work away from home when required.
• Physically fit and able to perform hard labour.
• Forklift operation and basic equipment maintenance.
• Own transport preferred to access work sites.

Responsibilities

• Daily onsite labouring duties, steel fixing, formwork, drillers offsider, grouting and general housekeeping.
• Loading and unloading trucks using a forklift.
• Equipment maintenance with the required training.
• Geotechnical trades support including grouting and anchor installation.
• Steel fixing and formwork.
• Be available to work away from home when required.
• Be physically fit and able to perform hard physical labour.
• Ability to multi task.

Ground Stabilisation Systems Pty Ltd is a Geotechnical Company offering quality assured work, professionalism and innovation for asset protection. We specialise in remediation projects, complex civil construction and rock fall protection services.

An opportunity exists for a Site Labourer within our organisation.

The role

The person for this position will be versatile and happy to complete any task at hand. They will be operating manual vehicles. loading, restraining, transporting and unloading a variety of equipment as well as general onsite civil construction laboring tasks. The initial employment is casual but, will move to a permanent position after a successful probation period. The ideal person for this position will have a strong work ethic, be willing to work away from home when required, jump in to help the team on the ground where possible and ensure effective communication while working with other employees.

Reporting to the Site Coordinator/Supervisor, you will be responsible for;

Daily onsite laboring duties, steel fixing, formworker, drillers offsider, grouting, general house keeping.

Loading and unloading trucks using a forklift

Equipment maintenance with the required training

Geotechnical trades support

Grouting and Anchor installation

Steel fixing and formwork

Be available to work away from home when required

Be physically fit (hard physical labour is a must)

Ability to multi task

Have at least 1 year experience in similar role (civil construction highly desirable)

Current White Card

Current driver’s license and own transport (Truck License desirable)

Able to undertake a full pre employment medical

Previous experience in the Civil GeoTech Industry desirable
