Job summary

Northpoint Recruitment seeks a Senior Service Engineer in the Diagnostic Imaging sector, with a nationwide presence and a Melbourne-based team. The role offers remote work flexibility while maintaining a strong field service element across Australia and New Zealand.

You will liaise with customers, diagnose and repair equipment, manage spare parts, and maintain service records, with occasional travel required.

Qualifications

• Tertiary or equivalent degree in electronics or substantial electronics experience.
• Able to read and understand circuit diagrams.
• Experience servicing diagnostic X-Ray equipment including relevant state licenses.
• Strong troubleshooting skills; able to explain solutions to customers and other engineers.
• Strong work ethic and loyalty.
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Flexibility with travel and working hours.
• Proficient in IT (Windows, Word, Excel).
• Valid driver's license and passport (or ability to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Liaise with customers on a time critical basis.
• Maintain detailed service records (written and electronic).
• Provide timely advice and consultation for equipment repairs (on-site and via phone).
• Manage Spare Parts Inventory.
• Diagnose and repair equipment.
• Occasional travel across Australia and New Zealand for customer support.
• Install and commission equipment at customer sites.
• Follow up and maintain an active service database.
