Job summary

Siemens Healthineers in Newcastle, NSW, is seeking a maintenance service technician for MRI systems. You will travel locally in Australia and internationally to customer sites, performing maintenance, upgrades and installations across CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X‑Ray and Nuclear medicine portfolios.

Role involves hands-on work and continuous training, based in Newcastle with travel required. The ideal candidate is trade qualified or university trained, with a restricted electrical licence preferred,

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or university training required.
• Possess or able to obtain a restricted electrical licence.
• Pride yourself on delivering customer satisfaction and outcomes.
• Available to work overtime, shiftwork and weekends when required.
• Willing to travel across state, interstate and overseas.
• Evidence of permanent work rights in Australia required.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer sites including public/private hospitals and clinics.
• Perform preventative maintenance, updates, upgrades, corrective service and installations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and timely service delivery.
• Maintain and expand knowledge through training, mentorship and hands-on experience.
• Adhere to Environmental, Health & Safety policies.

This role offers a unique blend of hands-on training locally in Australia and internationally, empowering you with knowledge and skills. We have a range of products across our Medical Imaging systems including but not limited to CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-Ray and Nuclear medicine. This role will be working on MRI systems and you will be based out of Newcastle with travel required.

A day in the life:

• Visiting customer sites which include public/private hospitals, private clinics.
• Performing preventative maintenance, updates, upgrades, corrective service, and installations
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and timely service delivery.
• Maintaining and expanding your knowledge through continuous training, including self-learning, computer-based courses, mentorship and hands-on experience
• Adhering to all Environmental, Health & Safety policies

About you:

• The successful candidate will be trade qualified or university trained
• Currently hold a restricted electrical licence is preferrable or able to obtain
• Pride yourself on customer satisfaction and outcomes
• Available to work overtime, shiftwork and weekends when required.
• Able to travel across state, interstate and overseas.
• Be able to provide evidence of your permanent work rights in Australia.
