Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Field Service Engineer for Medical Imaging based in Mackay, QLD. Travel locally and internationally to service CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-Ray and Nuclear medicine systems.

The role combines hands-on maintenance with professional development and mentorship in a global healthcare tech environment. You will visit hospitals and clinics, perform preventive maintenance, updates, upgrades, and installations while working closely with stakeholders to ensure timely service

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or university degree in a relevant field.
• Restricted electrical licence preferred or able to obtain one.
• Willing to travel across state, interstate and overseas.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer sites including hospitals and clinics.
• Perform preventative maintenance, updates and upgrades.
• Provide corrective service and installations as required.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely service delivery.
• Maintain knowledge through ongoing training and hands-on learning.

This role offers a unique blend of hands‑on training locally in Australia and internationally, empowering you with knowledge and skills. We have a range of products across our Medical Imaging systems including but not limited to CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X‑Ray and Nuclear medicine. Based out of Mackay with travel required.

A day in the life:

Visiting customer sites which include public/private hospitals, private clinics.

Performing preventative maintenance, updates, upgrades, corrective service, and installations

Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and timely service delivery.

Maintaining and expanding your knowledge through continuous training, including self‑learning, computer‑based courses, mentorship and hands‑on experience

Adhering to all Environmental, Health & Safety policies

About you:

The successful candidate will be trade qualified or university trained

Currently hold a restricted electrical licence is preferrable or able to obtain

Pride yourself on customer satisfaction and outcomes

Available to work overtime, shiftwork and weekends when required.

Able to travel across state, interstate and overseas.

Be able to provide evidence of your permanent work rights in Australia.
