Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Legal Advisor with specialized expertise in Regulatory Affairs to join their team. The role is remote, based from Queenstown or surrounding areas, focusing on navigating complex regulatory landscapes to ensure compliance and strategic advisory across the business.

You will monitor regulatory developments, interpret impacts, develop proactive compliance strategies, and liaise with regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

Admitted Attorney with a minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience in regulatory law.
Deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to the company's sector.
Ability to interpret and apply complex legislation.
Excellent research, analytical and advisory skills.
Strong communication and negotiation with government agencies.

Responsibilities

Provide expert legal advice on regulatory compliance and industry-specific regulations.
Monitor, interpret, and advise on the implications of new and upcoming legislation and regulatory changes.
Develop and implement regulatory compliance policies and procedures.
Engage with regulatory bodies on behalf of the company.
Conduct regulatory risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
Support the business in obtaining licenses, permits, and approvals.
