Job summary

Australian National University is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead the analysis of finance processes and partner with stakeholders to identify practical improvements. You will document current-state workflows, map business rules, and facilitate workshops to build aligned solutions across Finance and ITS teams.

You will work with PeopleSoft Financials and other systems, applying human-centered design to evaluate impacts, exchange knowledge, and produce actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• You are an experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong business process analysis and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and business process mapping workshops with Finance and University stakeholders.
• Document current-state processes, business rules, pain points, hand-offs and dependencies.
• Identify duplication, inefficiencies, risks and opportunities for simplification or improvement.
• Apply a human-centred approach to understand the impacts of current and proposed processes on users.
• Develop clear process maps, analysis outputs, options and recommendations.
• Contribute to shaping a consistent and collaborative business analysis practice through the ANU Analysis Chapter.
