Maintain is seeking a Project Manager for a remote roads project in Julia Creek (McKinlay Shire, QLD). You will lead the project from the ground and be the client's main contact through to mid-2027.

Choose FIFO/DIDO from Townsville or relocate to Julia Creek to occupy a company-supplied house. You will deliver the project safely, on time, on budget and to specification, coordinating earthworks, drainage and securing resources in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• At least 5 years of civil construction and project management experience, including roads.
• Track record of managing budgets, programs, subcontractors and contract administration.
• Strong WHS knowledge and compliance with Queensland WHS legislation.
• Willingness to travel between Townsville, Julia Creek and other regional sites.
• Requires a current C class driver's licence, White Card and RPEQ registration or eligibility.
• Experience with TMR or local government road projects, flood damage and DRFA restoration works.
• Regional North West Queensland experience and wet-season planning.
• Familiarity with MRTS, ITP and lot-based quality systems.

Responsabilités

• Own baseline program and look-ahead schedules and report progress.
• Lead earthworks, pavements, drainage and sealing to specifications.
• Plan works around weather risk and wet-season preparation.
• Coordinate plant, materials, quarry supply, water and logistics in a remote setting.
• Manage budget, forecast cost to complete and report monthly costs.
• Administer contracts (AS 4000/AS 2124 or TMR) including variations and claims.
• Engage and manage subcontractors and suppliers, and record weather delays.
• Own the safety system including the safety plan and SWMS.
• Run ITPs, lot registers and hold points through handover.
• Manage environmental and cultural heritage obligations.
• Build relationships with client superintendent, council and Traditional Owners.
• Contribute pricing input to future tenders.
