Job summary

New Growth Care Group is recruiting its first HR Generalist to join the Bentleigh East Head Office and support a growing team. This full-time role will own the people function end-to-end, including recruitment, induction, pathways, performance cycles and staff development.

You’ll partner directly with the CEO, coach managers, manage two direct reports, and drive automation and system improvements across Employment Hero and related processes. Flexibility to work interstate is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Generalist HR experience across recruitment, employee relations, performance and employee records in the one role.
• Award interpretation in a shift-based workforce, SCHADS preferred.
• Build and configure an HR platform rather than only administering one.
• Track record of designing a people process, rolling it out, and confirming it was adopted.
• Experience running a performance and supervision cycle to schedule.
• Sound working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and the National Employment Standards, including casual and part-time obligations.
• Able to turn workforce data into something a leadership team can act on.
• Good judgement on what to elevate and what to just decide.
• Disability, aged care or health experience, Employment Hero and Lumary all highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Own recruitment end to end: writing the ad, screening, group interviews, references, offers.
• Design an induction that means a new starter arrives ready to work rather than waiting to be told what happens next.
• Build the pathway that takes a support worker to a senior or supervisory role, so our next leaders come from inside.
• Own why people stay, and be honest with us about why they leave.
• Run the performance and supervision cycle, and keep it actually running.
• Coach our managers through the conversations they are avoiding.
• Own our learning platform, allocate what people need, and track whether they finished it.
• Tell the CEO where we are thin before it becomes a problem.
• Be the lead on Employment Hero as our system of record and automate processes so they trigger automatically
