Remote Project Surveyor – FIFO for Civil & Mining

Job summary

Exact Contracting seeks an experienced Project Surveyor to support long-term remote projects across NSW, SA and NT. You will report to the Project Manager and work in hot, dusty locations, interpreting plans and producing surveys for reporting and sign-off.

The role requires a surveying qualification (Cert IV+), experience in civil/mining and familiarity with AutoCad 3D Civil, Surpac, GPS and Trimble systems. FIFO/DIDO and a valid licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Cert IV or higher in surveying is required.
• Experience in civil or mining sectors is desirable.
• Proficiency with AutoCad 3D Civil and Surpac is desirable.
• Experience with GPS, Trimble Total Station and Trimble machine guidance is desirable.
• Ability to work in FIFO/DIDO remote locations.
• Current driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Interpret plans and mark out projects.
• Convert designs for use on survey rover and machine control.
• Work with machine control to optimise precision and timeframes.
• Perform periodic surveys for conformance reporting and project tracking.
• Undertake as-built surveys for project sign-off and quantity verification.
• Provide timely and accurate surveys for end-of-month reporting.
• Produce clear and concise technical reports.
• Collect, interpret and analyse survey information as required.
• Project administration as required.
