Job summary

Exact Contracting seeks an experienced Project Surveyor to join our team on long-term remote road construction, civil and bulk earthworks projects across multiple Australian states. The role reports to the Project Manager and requires you to work in remote locations that are hot, dry and dusty.

Key duties include interpreting plans, marking out projects, converting designs for survey rover and machine control, collecting data, producing reports, and supporting end-of-month reporting.

Qualifications

  • A relevant Surveying qualification – Cert IV or higher (required).
  • Experience in Civil or Mining (desirable).
  • Proficiency with AutoCad 3D Civil and Surpac (desirable).
  • Experience with GPS, Trimble Total Station, and Trimble machine guidance (desirable).
  • Ability to work in remote locations in a FIFO/DIDO capacity.
  • Current driver’s licence (required).

Responsibilities

  • Collect, interpret and analyse survey information as required;
  • Project administration (as required).

Job description

Surveyors experienced in field setout, machine control, data collection and reporting to work on remote road construction, civil & bulk earthworks.

We are looking for an experienced Project Surveyor to join our team and work on long-term remote projects across New South Wales, South Australia and Northern Territory. This role will report directly to the Project Manager and will require you to work in remote locations that are often hot, dry and dusty.

Duties
  • Interpret plans and mark out projects;
  • Convert designs for use on survey rover and machine control;
  • Work with machine control to optimise the precision and time frame that works are completed within;
  • Perform periodic surveys to check levels for conformance reporting and project tracking;
  • Undertake asbuilt surveys for project sign off and quantity verification;
  • Provide timely and accurate surveys for end of month reporting;
  • Produce clear and concise technical reports;
