Job summary

Avance Clinical Pty Ltd. is seeking an experienced Project Director I/II to lead clinical trials in Australia. This fully remote role supports projects across multiple therapeutic areas with CRO-style accountability and strong team management responsibilities.

You will oversee PMs and PAs, coordinate timelines and budgets, and ensure adherence to protocol, SOPs and ICH GCP guidelines while engaging with sponsors and vendors. Australian working rights are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in life sciences or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years as Project Director in a CRO and 2+ years line managing staff in CRO/Pharma.
• Strong knowledge of ICH GCP and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to keep clients and senior management informed.
• Understanding of privacy legislation as it applies to clinical trials.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to Project Managers to ensure high-quality project delivery.
• Oversee timelines, budgets, risks and sponsor communications.
• Develop study plans and documents for effective execution of PM activities.
• Manage sponsor relationships and strategic partnerships.
• Coordinate PM/PA resource assignments and staff development.
• Ensure QA/compliance with SOPs, protocol and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee contracted services and vendor management; support audits.
