Job summary

CPP in Victoria seeks a Principal Engineer - Secondary to provide senior technical leadership across high‑voltage secondary design. You will guide complex design outcomes and support ongoing capability development in the Victorian engineering hub.

You will mentor graduates and junior engineers while collaborating with national teams on HV substations, wind farms and battery storage projects. Flexibility to work from home is available.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical/Power Engineering with Chartered status (highly regarded).
• Extensive experience designing secondary systems for HV transmission substations.
• Experience leading complex secondary design projects in HV and renewables.
• End-to-end substation delivery from concept to commissioning.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and power system philosophies.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership for Victorian secondary design.
• Lead complex secondary design outcomes across HV projects.
• Mentor graduate and junior engineers.
• Support development of engineering capability in Victoria.
• Deliver high-voltage substation projects across Australia.
