Job summary

CPP is seeking a Principal Engineer - Secondary to provide senior technical leadership on high-voltage substation projects across Australia’s renewable energy and utility sectors. You will mentor graduate and junior engineers while delivering complex secondary design outcomes.

You will remain hands-on in design, guiding multidisciplinary teams and strengthening CPP’s capability and culture in Adelaide. An ideal candidate brings extensive HV experience and a passion for mentoring and development.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered or Professional Engineer status highly regarded.
• Extensive experience designing secondary systems for HV substations.
• Experience leading complex secondary design projects in HV/renewables.
• End-to-end delivery experience from concept to commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership on HV substation projects.
• Lead complex secondary design outcomes across national projects.
• Mentor graduates and junior engineers to grow capability.
• Support development of engineering capability within CPP’s Adelaide team.
