Job summary

Consolidated Power Projects in Victoria seeks a Principal Engineer - Secondary to lead high‑voltage secondary design across renewable energy and utilities. You will drive technical outcomes, ensure design integrity, and collaborate with CPP’s national engineering teams.

The role requires strong mentoring of graduates and engineers, with the chance to influence a growing Victorian hub and major HV substations projects.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical or Power Engineering; Chartered or Professional Engineer status highly regarded.
• Extensive experience designing secondary systems for HV transmission substations.
• Experience leading complex secondary design projects across HV and renewable sectors.
• End-to-end delivery experience from concept through commissioning of substations.
• Strong knowledge of power system philosophies, standards and client specifications in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership across secondary design for HV substations.
• Lead complex secondary design projects from concept to commissioning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, civil, and SCADA.
• Mentor graduate and junior engineers to build capability in Victoria.
• Support growth of CPP's Victorian engineering hub and national projects.
