Job summary

Employment Hero is seeking a Payroll Business Partner to revolutionise how organisations manage payroll. You will collaborate with clients to streamline payroll operations, ensure compliance, and improve efficiency end-to-end across weekly, fortnightly, and monthly cycles.

You’ll work in a remote-first environment with autonomy, using AI tools to enhance client experiences and day-to-day team operations. The role focuses on accuracy, security, and building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• 3+ years payroll experience
• Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and end-to-end processing preferred
• Experience with diverse payroll awards
• Experience in client-facing or outsourced payroll
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Excellent time and schedule management
• High attention to detail in a fast-paced, autonomous environment
• Genuine enthusiasm for AI and using new tools

Responsibilities

• Process weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll runs end-to-end
• Provide proactive customer service to payroll clients
• Perform onboarding, auditing, reconciliations, terminations, and superannuation
• Ensure data security and follow EH data policies
• Keep business systems data accurate and current
• Build trusted relationships with clients as an outsourced partner
• Liaise with clients by phone, email and in person when needed
• Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams
• Facilitate regular project alignment meetings and milestones
• Leverage AI tools to streamline payroll workflows and reduce manual work
