Job summary

Outback Spirit Tours is seeking an experienced Lodge Mechanic to join our Arnhem Land Barramundi Lodge team. You’ll be responsible for maintenance across vehicles, vessels, machinery and infrastructure, with accommodation and meals provided on-site.

You’ll diagnose faults, perform servicing, and coordinate repairs in a remote environment, ensuring safe and reliable guest experiences while upholding high workmanship standards.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in mechanical trades with petrol/diesel engine experience.
• Experience maintaining marine vessels and outboard motors.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence; MR/HR preferred; Forklift Licence.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise and coordinate repairs to keep vehicles, vessels and equipment operational.
• Perform preventative maintenance, servicing, fault finding and repairs remotely.
• Maintain prime power generators and lodge infrastructure.
• Diagnose mechanical and auto-electrical faults and fix them.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and reports.
• Ensure all work follows WHS and company procedures.
